Monach Isles, Scotland
The Scottish western isles have great beaches and they are never crowded. The greatest place are the Monachs, a small group of islands you can reach only by boat. At the Monach Islands you find a National Nature Reserve with fulmars, grey seals and a profusion of flowers. You will not find one single tree on the islands but abandoned buildings. The absolutely beautiful white sandy beaches and its loneliness are the perfect place for everyone who wants to enjoy pure and almost untouched nature.
Nemto Island, Papua New Guinea
Nemto Island is a very small island in New Ireland and is situated between Lukus Island and Ungalik. About 600 miles east of Papua New Guinea you can only overcome by boat. The endless Internet offers no great information about this beautiful place on earth. What is known is that there are fine beaches, sunken Second World War planes and pristine reefs to be found. Only two local residents live on this beautiful island – surrounded by white sands and palms. Who else lives there? The cackling parrots are the nice neighbors but there are more living things. The reason why nobody else lives there is the superstition about strange beasts that inhabit the interior. All the better that nobody wants to go to this untouched island.
Jagodna Bay, Hvar Croatia
If you are looking for a quiet corner far from noise and rushing you should visit this beach. It is the ideal place for your vacation. Pine trees shadow, summer mistral breeze, cicadas chirping, the abundant Hvar flora – everything you need to rest. The beach is barely bigger than a tennis court and it still is a jewel. The water is clear so you are able to see plenty of fish. There are rocks to dive off and swim out to. It looks as if there was nobody but in case you are hungry you may find a small restaurant-bar above the beach. It is a perfect place to spend the vacation in harmony with nature.
Vanua Balavu, Northern Lau, Fiji
Vanua Balavu is a coral and volcanic islands characterized by steep undercut cliffs. The population of about 1,200 sees only two dozens visitors annually so you probably wont meet another visitor. The local cuisine relies on seafood, so really should like that. It is a craggy and elongated paradise – perfect for picnic on the sand, snorkeling on magnificent reefs with big seashells and sea snakes.
